LA Auto Show Information


The Los Angeles Convention Center hosts the LA Auto Show for the 100th year this December.  Packed full with new cars and prototypes, the show will display over 50 new vehicle debuts, custom cars and after market cars including text drives.

Not only will there be famous automakers but there will be some famous celebrity appearances at the LA auto show this year. At the Toyota exhibit, DJ MaL-Ski, Doug E Fresh, Jordan Clarkson from the LA Lakers, the Laker girls and Dustin Brown from the LA Kings and some yet to be announced will be at the show throughout the week.

The Design and Developer Challenge 2017 is going on at this years LA auto show. Following last year, this challenge is open for anyone to present ideas for a more creative and innovative future. In 2016 the challenge was for futuristic and technologically innovative advances in automobiles. This year the challenge is a little different; the challenge is to help LA come up with a smart venue to hold sporting events and smear transportation in hope of a global sporting event in the year 2060. Voting opens December 1, 2017.

The Garage "Aftermarket" event will be held at the auto show this year hosted by Prestone; on display will be custom aftermarket cars, even super cars. In 2016, automakers such as McLaren, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati, Ferrari and Porsche made an appearance. Another custom car event at the show will be the Galpin Hall of Customs where custom cars will be on display.


This year there will be multiple automakers offering test drives such as Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota, Cadillac and more. If you meet the requirement age you can step up and test drive the vehicle of your choosing.

For all the women interested in automobiles, there will be an event held by YouTuber Jessicann called the Girls' Pit Stop. Her event will include other female car mechanics, experts and race car drivers who will conduct classes on basic car care for women.

The auto show will be held December 1 through the 10, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am to 10:00 pm Friday and Saturday and 8:00 a, to 7:00 pm on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. For more information, visit https://laautoshow.com.
